A survey done on Human Capital Trends showed that fifty percent or more of the participants viewed wellness plans as valuable or highly valuable to the employees.
Furthermore, the response remained relatively consistent across all companies of various types and sizes.
This shows us that employees value wellness programs and also look at them as an integral factor while job-hunting, which conveys to us how, in the modern world, money is not the only factor that raises the appeal of a job.
As work and daily life become more and more integrated, people wish to attain jobs that will not only improve their living standards but also provide them with the facilities they need to lead a fulfilling and stress-free life.
Physical well-being is not the only form of well-being the employees want their companies to provide. With the amount of stress that accumulates due to work and personal situations, employees expect the company to cater to their mental well-being as well by offering benefits such as mental health leaves, health workshops or private therapy sessions.

Wellness programs help the employees feel acknowledged as a valuable asset to the company and help create a sense of belonging towards their company. This makes them more enthusiastic towards contributing to their company and increases their overall productivity and satisfaction.
With wellness plans inclusive of healthcare, mental and physical support systems, it takes a lot of worries off the employees’ minds, which helps them be more focused on the job they are doing while also showing their gratitude. Having the company do so much for their sake also makes them feel obliged to return the favour.
Most companies realise the positive impact of wellness programs and employee satisfaction on revenue and profits, especially with all the surveys and figures that back this up. This increase is only possible if the employees were content with these facilities and were passionate about their work.
The companies that do not provide wellness programs or provide very basic ones gained way lower revenues and have higher turnover rates as well.
The reason is that the employees here do not have the means to be more productive or to be facilitated with their work and personal lives. This leads to them having to work under a lot of stress, which negatively impacts their productivity and ultimately makes them want to quit.
In essence, the relationship between a company and its employees is consequential and reciprocal.
The more a company invests in its workforce’s accommodation and overall well-being, the more receptive and responsive the employees would be towards the goals and values of that company.
